LEARN ABOUT HOW YOUR ORGANIZATION COULD BENEFIT FROM JOINING LEAP

Introduction

LEAP encourages efficient and reliable transaction processing in energy trading through voluntary automation and standardization. Consistent with this goal, LEAP endeavors to pursue the automation of trade data exchanged bilaterally between counterparties and companies providing ancillary inspection, storage, pipeline transportation, and related services supporting energy transactions. In the automation space, LEAP seeks to promote industry best practices through developing and promoting the use of electronic data transmission standards, conventions and solutions that facilitate and encourage automation.

LEAP also encourages active voluntary participation to bring about further improvements through the definition and use of ‘best practices’

Membership Benefits

For User Companies, LEAP offers an open and transparent forum for the exchange, development and pursuit of standardization and automation initiatives that target increased efficiency and reliability in transaction processing.

For Inspection Companies and Storage Providers, LEAP provides an open and transparent forum for collaboration by and among industry stakeholders, including service providers, to help develop standards and automation solutions that drive industry best practices targeting greater efficiency and reliability in energy transaction processing.

For Solution Providers, Participation in LEAP’s open communication forums allows the opportunity to work directly with end users in establishing definitions, functionality requirements and data transmission inputs and related criteria necessary for the transmission of electronic data by counterparties. The clear understanding of such information subsequently supports focused application development and reduces time-to-market delivery.

In addition, our Work Group process provides insight as to how end users are positioning themselves to meet the future needs of the ever-changing energy markets.
